A New Factory-Refrigerated Truck Has Just Been Launched in Singapore

Hong Seh EVolution will start retailing their new DFSK EC31 Electric Refrigerator Truck locally. This launch helps bolster their efforts to conquer the commercial electric vehicle market.

Designed with refrigeration in mind, the EC31 Electric Refrigerator Truck received a few key alterations over the standard vehicle. And the electric nature of the base vehicle also further improves its freezer performance.

Unlike a local refrigerator box that is retrofitted on an ICE vehicle, the EC31 Refrigerator Truck comes with a dedicated power line for the freezer refrigeration system from a Power Distribution Unit (PDU) as it is designed for an electric commercial vehicle. With a different PDU and software from the EC31 variant, the refrigerator system is optimised and approved by Factory, giving customers who require a refrigeration system in their logistic fleet a peace of mind.The refrigerator box is built using fibre reinforced polymers. It properly balances strength, durability and weight, whilst also being able to provide better insulation. Furthermore, it is eco-friendly, resistant to brine, acid and soda perfect for the food manufacturing and transportation industry.

DFSK estimates it’d do 230km on a single charge. They’ve also fitted electronic stability control (ESC) to the fridge, ensuring the added mass is properly regulated for finer control. For the introductory offer (till 30 April 2023), the vehicle will be priced at S$72,800 before COE and CVES.

Customers will be entitled a free optional right-side door (for the fridge compartment) allowing easier access from both sides more conveniently. The vehicle also comes with a factory warranty of 3 years/ 100,000km. Deliveries will commence by June 2023.
