Stamford Tyres opens its first overseas flagship outlet in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

The Singapore-based distributor of tyres and wheels officially opened an outlet in Plentong, Johor Bahru, on 17 January 2026. This is the group’s first overseas flagship outlet and also their first store to operate seven days a week, including most public holidays.

The Plentong outlet marks a major milestone in Stamford Tyres' regional retail expansion. It is the group’s third outlet in Malaysia, alongside those in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, reinforcing the country’s importance as a key growth market for the group. 

Designed as a one-stop automotive destination, the 7,500 sq ft outlet houses 11 workshop bays. It offers a full suite of automotive services under one roof - ranging from car diagnostics and tyre installations to routine maintenance and mechanical repairs.  

The latest Plentong outlet features 11 workshop bays, which support faster turnaround.

Beyond providing top-notch service and convenience, this new retail store also reflects Stamford Tyres’ strategic alignment with the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), which aims to strengthen cross-border connectivity between Singapore and Malaysia. 

In celebration of the launch, Stamford Tyres is offering a series of time-limited opening promotions for motorists, which include a complimentary servicing with selected tyre purchases for the first 50 early-birds, special discounts for premium rims, exclusive bundle promotions for engine oils, and a flexible 'Deposit Now & Install Later’ option to lock in promotional prices for three months. 

A wide range of ongoing promotions are available in the new JB outlet of Stamford Tyres.

This flagship brings us closer to the Johor community and strengthens our cross-border presence, delivering greater value and service excellence across both markets.” 

With the addition of the new Plentong outlet, Stamford Tyres now operates a total retail network of 17 outlets across Singapore and Malaysia. Beyond the retail footprint, the group has established a distribution presence in other markets including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and has also expanded beyond the Asia region into South Africa - continuing the long legacy of the company's late founder, Mr Wee Kok Wah. 

The Plentong outlet operates daily from 9 am to 6:30 pm.
